In order for a graduate student, researcher and HR professional to effectively conceptualize DM to suit their context, it is crucial understand the evolution of DM literature. The primary objective is to perform a bibliometric review on DM literature to reveal intellectual structure (school of thoughts), identify research gap and areas for future research. The secondary objective of this paper is to propose bibliometric review as the suitable methodology for graduate student, researcher, and HR professional in developing insight into selected research topic of their selection in a systematic manner. The bibliometric analysis of DM literature revealed features of knowledge production, evolution of DM research by time and geography. Researcher then use data from the analysis to proposed lists of top most influential journal, author, and research paper.
